Our Achievements
The number of cases filed and legal action taken for the sale/distribution of fake, adulterated, unregistered, counterfeit, misbranded medicines has increased. The number of inspections of pharmaceutical manufacturing establishments in accordance with GMP has increased. Model pharmacies and model medicine shops are being established with the aim of operating pharmacies on the model of the developed world. Work is being done to increase public awareness about buying/selling/taking antibiotics as prescribed by a doctor and completing the full course to prevent unnecessary, unreasonable and incomplete use of antibiotics. The introduction of a daily online reporting system has increased the field level supervision of the Department of Drug Administration.
